Champion Drag Racing Crew Chief Bernie Fedderly Passes Away

Bernie Fedderly, a drag racing crew chief who supported multiple drivers to NHRA numerous wins and championships, has passed away.

Fedderly first came to national attention in 1980 when he tuned Terry Capp to a win at the NHRA U.S. Nationals, before later joining John Force Racing, where he helped the team to 109 national event wins and 13 championships, according to the NHRA. He retired prior to the 2013 season.

Fedderly is a member of both the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame and the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame.
